Quest St Leonards to donate $25,000 to Royal North Shore Hospital’s Kolling Foundation

Quest St Leonards has officially announced its exclusive charity partnership – Heart of the Community Campaign – with the Kolling Foundation, committing to donate a total of $25,000 over the next year to the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH)’s fundraising body.

Supporting life-saving medical research, Quest St Leonards will make an initial donation of $5,000 to the Foundation followed by $1 per room night sold for the next twelve months.

In addition, the property has provided a prize of weekend accommodation for the Foundation to auction off, and will also promote its various fundraising campaigns during the year, encouraging guests to donate.

Quest St Leonards Franchisees, Brent Howard and Ann Crowhurst, emphasised their commitment to supporting the work of the Kolling Foundation, which plays such a vital role both in the local community and nationally – supporting 1 in every 20 Australians at some stage during their lifetime.

“Ann and I want to make a lasting contribution to the work of the Kolling Foundation and RNSH. We knew the $5,000 upfront donation would be greatly appreciated however decided to make an ongoing commitment of $1 per room night sold for the next year. What seems like a nominal amount will actually add up to quite a sum over twelve months,” Mr Howard said

“We will also be offering a 10% discount on all bookings for the families of patients undergoing surgery or receiving treatment.

“We are impressed with the work of the Kolling Foundation and hope to inspire other businesses in the community to show their support for this vital service. Of particular interest is the P.A.R.T.Y (Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth) Program, run by RNSH, this in-hospital injury and trauma prevention program is aimed at 15-25 year olds, and designed to reduce the over-representation of young adults in injury and trauma statistics. This is something that is close to our hearts as we employ a number of young people, and our staff will be able to engage with the program through this partnership with Kolling.”

Julie McDonald, Kolling Foundation CEO expressed her sincere gratitude for the ongoing commitment and support from Quest St Leonards.

“The Heart of the Community Quest Giving Campaign will assist RNSH with the purchase of life-saving equipment to ensure that every patient continues to receive the very best treatment and care in the most technologically advanced environment possible,” Ms McDonald said.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the generosity shown by Brent Ann and the entire team at Quest St Leonards and Quest Apartment Hotels.”
