Bermagui recognised for industry excellence
South Coast Holiday Parks (SCHP) Bermagui has been recognised with a finalist nomination at the South Coast Tourism Awards 2016 held at the Hars Aviation Museum, Albion Park Rail.
The South Coast Tourism Awards is an annual event which recognises outstanding tourism operators over the past twelve months, celebrating an industry which annually injects $2 billion in the region.
The nod follows SCHP Bermagui employee Sara Wilson’s win in the Young Achiever category last year, as well as her nomination at the 2015 CCIA Awards. SCHP Bermagui also received a special commendation at these awards for Best Holiday Park South Coast (More than 100 Sites).
The park was also recently awarded a 2016 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for its consistent outstanding reviews made by guests on the website. Bermagui was one of eleven parks within the New South Wales Crown Holiday Parks Trust (NSWCHPT) group to be acknowledged with this award.
SCHP, along with North Coast Holiday Parks (NCHP), and Inland Waters Holiday Parks (IWHP), are managed by NSWCHPT to consolidate the operations of 36 holiday parks, boutique accommodation and reserves located on Crown land throughout NSW in some of the State’s most iconic locations.
NSWCHPT CEO Steve Edmonds was proud to see SCHP Bermagui recognised for its high standard of excellence, calling it an achievement not just for the park but the entire organisation.
“Our vision is to be a leading provider of recreational destinations that showcase the best of the best of NSW,” Mr Edmonds said.
“We are pleased to see SCHP Bermagui celebrated for their achievements as we continue our mission to transform traditional camping and caravan parks into some of the most desirable locations in the state.”
SCHP Bermagui was up against some stiff competition in the Caravan Park, more than 100 sites category, with Park Managers Karen and Wayland Mason thrilled to be counted amongst such an esteemed group of parks.
“It’s great to be continually recognised as a standout among our peers,” they said.
“This nomination shows the dedication and commitment that our team shows in consistently keeping our park to a high standard. Without their hard work we wouldn’t be in the position we are today.
“Although we didn’t win this year, we are ecstatic just to be acknowledged as an industry leader and we will be working our hardest to take out the top gong in the years to come.”
