Quest celebrates official openings of Griffith and Dandenong Central

The Griffith opening was a continuation of Quest’s assertive growth strategy in New South Wales, and is a prime example of Quest’s promise to go where the corporate market needs its unique style of apartment hotel accommodation.

The new property, which opened on November 28, 2016 is Quest’s twenty-sixth in New South Wales, providing yet another premium apartment hotel offering for both the corporate and leisure traveller. It comes during an exciting period of expansion for Griffith, further establishing it as a hive  of  activity  and  development  in  agriculture,  wine,  food  processing,  retail,  transport, professional services and tourism.

Quest Chief Financial Officer, Jason Vanderzalm is confident about the future of tourism in Griffith and in the company’s decision to open a property in the growing region.“The region’s wine industry is booming, exporting over $800m of wine per year, travel to the area is also rapidly increasing, with a strong focus on business travel. We are so excited to be providing the highest standard of short stay accommodation to business travellers within Griffith.”

“I extend our sincere thanks to Mayor Dal Broi, Simon Bonetti and the local business community for joining us to celebrate tonight’s opening,” Mr Vanderzalm said.

Griffith City Council’s Emeritus Mayor, Councillor John Dal Broi welcomed Quest’s investment in Griffith and said it was an endorsement of the region’s growing tourism industry.

“Griffith City Council warmly welcomes the establishment of Quest Apartment Hotels in Griffith. The council has been working hard to attract new businesses and industries to the city and Quest’s investment highlights that Griffith is a growing regional centre. Quest Griffith is an important asset to the already outstanding services and facilities on offer in our City,” said Mayor Dal Broi.

Quest Dandenong Central

State Member of Parliament for Dandenong, Gabrielle Williams MP and television personality and comedian, Tommy Little joined Quest CEO, Zed Sanjana, to officially open the company’s second Dandenong property, Quest Dandenong Central, at 2-10 Walker Street.

Mr Sanjana was delighted to formally open Quest Dandenong Central, adding 95 rooms to the Victorian market.

“We are extremely proud to be officially opening Quest Dandenong Central tonight. Dandenong is on a solid growth trajectory, with the revitalisation initiative anticipated to generate 5,000 new jobs over  the  next  two  decades,  re-establishing  Dandenong  as  the  capital  of  Melbourne’s  growing south east region,” said Mr Sanjana.

“Since opening  at  the  beginning  of  December  2016,  Quest  Dandenong  has  already  been experiencing  consistently  high  occupancy  rates.  I  congratulate  Quest  Dandenong  Central Franchisee Tim Cross on this commendable achievement. I look forward to a prosperous future for  Tim  and  the  team  at  Quest  Dandenong  Central  as  it  establishes  itself  within  the  wider community.” he concluded.

The State Member of Parliament for Dandenong, Gabrielle Williams MP, officially welcomed Quest to the area, highlighting the impact Quest Dandenong Central will have on the business tourism sector.

Quest Dandenong Central Franchisee, Tim Cross was pleased to officially open the property, as part of the landmark project that will position Dandenong among the country’s leading economic centres.

“I am so excited to be officially opening Quest Dandenong Central today, sharing the experience with many members of the supportive local business community. With Quest Dandenong Central being one of several key projects now completed, and other projects underway, the Revitalising Central Dandenong initiative is enhancing Dandenong’s appeal as a place to live, work and visit.

“The quality of the property is of the highest standard and we are committed to delivering the best possible customer service to ensure each guest has the premium experience they expect from a Quest Apartment Hotel,” Mr Cross said.

To mark last night’s opening event, the Quest Dandenong Central team donated $3,000 to the Pancare Foundation. As the only charity of its kind in Australia, the Pancare Foundation supports world-leading research and delivers programs designed to address individual and changing patient needs, from the point of diagnosis through to recovery and bereavement. This donation highlights Quest’s ongoing commitment to give back to the community, and was accepted by Pancare Ambassador and TV personality, Georgia Love.
