RACV Resort Noosa named best hotel in Queensland

Sunshine Coast hotel, RACV Resort Noosa, has taken out the title for best hotel in Queensland, after winning HotelsCombined Recognition of Excellence Awards 2017.

The RACV Resort Noosa, located in picturesque Noosa Heads, was drawn from more than 27 finalists on HotelsCombined, a hotel price comparison platform, for outstanding customer satisfaction.

“This award is a great achievement for the team at RACV’s Noosa Resort and is testament to the resorts’ dedicated staff who take great pride in the hotel and service to guests. RACV resort staff work very hard to ensure our guests have an experience to remember and go above and beyond when it comes to customer service. This award is based purely on guest reviews and ratings, not judges – so the results speak for themselves.” Darren McClenagham, RACV Noosa resort manager.

The Recognition of Excellence Awards is an annual award announced in the first quarter of every year, with 2017 its inaugural year.

Chris Rivett, head of marketing for HotelsCombined Australia and New Zealand says: “The recognition of Excellence Awards celebrate the very best hotels for exemplary customer service across Australia. We are proud to name the RACV Resort Noosa, one of Noosa’s best-loved hotels, with the title of top independent hotel in Queensland.

“While RACV Resort Noosa is located in Noosa Heads, one of Australia’s most popular holiday destinations, it’s surprising to see it beat some of the bigger hotels in Brisbane, suggesting good customer service is not limited to our large cities.”

The unique analysis by HotelsCombined’s team of data experts means that the Recognition of Excellence Awards are based on criteria including quality and consistency of guest reviews, customer ratings, the absence of recurring or unresolved issues, blogs, forums and social media posts. Finalists and winners are representative of the highest standards in the industry, averaging 9.7 out of a possible 10 points, compared to the industry standard of 7.2, placing them within the top three per cent of hotels worldwide.

Chris says: “The awards allow winning hotels to stand out from their competitors, especially in crowded tourist areas with lots of accommodation options. Customer service is an excellent measure of success in the hotel industry, and the awards also provide a reliable benchmark for prospective customers to use when booking accommodation.”
