COVID lockdowns: Australian businesses want a national plan

An open letter from Business Council of Australia appeals for a national plan to provide light at the end of the tunnel

We have united with many other businesses within our ravaged tourism and accommodation industry to sign an important open letter. The letter demands that state and federal governments work together to chart a cohesive national plan out of the current lockdowns.

The Business Council of Australia represents businesses throughout the country sent the Open Letter from Business to Governments.

The letter has been signed by some of Australia’s largest companies and it encourages our governments to work together to implement a National Plan and chart a path out of the current lockdowns/restrictions. The demands include getting 70 to 80 percent of people double vaccinated while minimising disruption to businesses.

The letter states: “We ask governments to work together to implement the National Plan and chart a path out of the current lockdowns. Providing a light at the end of the tunnel will encourage more Australians to get vaccinated. We need to give people something to hope for, something to look forward to, something to plan around, and to be confident about their futures.”

Join the campaign and sign the letter Open Letter from Business to Governments.
