New GM for Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef marks exciting new chapter
New General Manager, Marcus Taylor relocated from regional NSW for the new role, now based on the Island but he's no stranger to the Whitsundays
Daydream Island Resort and Living Reef is excited to announce the appointment of experienced hospitality leader Marcus Taylor to the position of General Manager.
Having relocated from regional NSW for the new role, Marcus will be based on the Island and is no stranger to the Whitsundays having previously worked in the region for close to 14 years.

With a strong commitment and passion for the region, he brings a wealth of senior management experience having recently worked at Rydges Port Macquarie and Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges with previous local experience working at Hamilton Island.
Marcus said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to the Whitsundays as General Manager at Daydream Island Resort and Living Reef and am excited to be working with such a talented team of individuals. We’ve been lucky enough to welcome a number of new faces who not only bring a wealth of experience but a fresh new approach to our guest experience.”
“Having previously worked in the Whitsundays, I’ve got the benefit of years of local knowledge which I’m using to my advantage to ensure we create a truly memorable experience for each and every one of our guests. I’m extremely passionate about the Island and what it offers and hope to be able to share this passion with all those who visit,” he said.
Tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the property, Marcus is committed to taking Daydream Island Resort and Living Reef to the next level and showcasing the beauty of the Whitsundays while delivering an unforgettable experience for all of those that visit.
