“Meeting Place remains one of the most important events on the inbound tourism calendar, where relationships are built, opportunities are forged, and the future of Australia’s visitor economy is shaped,” ATEC Managing Director Peter Shelley said.
The program features ATEC’s Annual Tourism Export Awards, celebrating excellence across eight categories, and the graduation of almost 40 students of the ELITE Emerging Leaders Program, which this year recorded a 41 percent rise in participation.
“The ELITE Program continues to grow in strength and community and is a reflection of ATEC’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of tourism leaders.”
Mr Shelley said ATEC has also seen strong growth in new membership and membership renewals with a 15 percent increase on last year, pointing to renewed confidence across the inbound tourism sector.
ATEC’s recently launched the Tourism Trade Checklist – a new initiative simplifying health, safety and compliance verification for tourism suppliers and international partners is another valuable program, which is recognised as being hugely valuable to members and the sector.
“The Tourism Trade Checklist is about making trade relationships smoother, safer, and more efficient, helping to ensure Australia remains a trusted and competitive destination for international partners.”
