The prestigious accreditation is awarded through a rigorous assessment program evaluating Australian accommodations against high standards for physical and sensory accessibility, including Autism, vision and hearing support, as well as mobility. Each of the three properties met or exceeded expectations across multiple tiers of accessibility.

Each Melbourne hotel offers unique advantages for travellers with accessibility requirements:

  • PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport provides direct access to the terminals via a skybridge and is ideal for stopovers or early morning departures.

  • PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne, located beside the Monash Health and Education Precinct, is perfectly positioned for hospital visitors, patients, and academic guests.

  • Pan Pacific Melbourne, located in South Wharf, offers easy access to shopping, dining, and Melbourne’s top cultural and entertainment attractions.

With the new accreditation in place, all three hotels are now listed on the Accessible Accommodation portal, Australia’s leading booking platform for verified mobility and sensory-accessible stays, offering guests a streamlined, trustworthy booking experience. Each hotel has been rigorously vetted and listed on the platform, which is recognised as the gold standard for accessible travel in the country.

“This initiative showcases our commitment to creating inclusive, thoughtful experiences for all guests, including older travellers and those who may require additional support,” says David Tonkin, Country General Manager, Oceania, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

“Each of these hotels brings something distinctive to the table, helping us serve the growing demand for accessible tourism in Australia.”

“This is exactly the type of commitment we want to see from leading hotel brands,” says Kerry Williams, Founder and Director of The Accessible Group.

“Guests can now book with confidence, knowing that these properties deliver not just compliance, but genuine comfort and ease. Furthermore, their staff all completed our Inclusion Training Program, further reinforcing just how committed these excellent hotels are to achieve a genuinely inclusive experience.”
