Ingenia Holiday Parks backs North Queensland with Cowboys partnership
To mark the partnership, Ingenia Holiday Parks and the Cowboys have launched a colouring-in competition for young supporters.
Ingenia Holiday Parks is doubling down on its commitment to North Queensland, announcing a multi-year partnership with the North Queensland Cowboys that brings together two brands deeply embedded in the region’s community life.
The agreement, effective immediately and running through to October 2027, will see Ingenia Holiday Parks align with one of the north’s most recognisable sporting organisations, extending its presence beyond its park gates and into the heart of local rugby league.
Already an established part of the region through BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Townsville and BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Cairns Coconut, the group is positioning the partnership as a natural extension of its role in hosting families, friends and travelling supporters.
Backing the next generation
As part of the agreement, Ingenia Holiday Parks will serve as Presenting Partner of the 29th Laurie Spina Shield, recognised as Australasia’s largest under-11 rugby league carnival.
Across two days in June, more than 1000 junior players will compete in 224 games, with the carnival widely regarded as a pathway event for emerging talent. Ingenia plans to bring hands-on experiences and family-friendly activities to the event, aiming to create a festival atmosphere around what is already a cornerstone of the junior rugby league calendar.
The carnival will culminate with eight teams competing ahead of an NRL match day clash on 27 June between the North Queensland Cowboys and the Penrith Panthers, where Ingenia Holidays will again act as presenting partner.

Matthew Young, Executive General Manager – Tourism at Ingenia Holiday Parks, said the partnership reflects shared values between the organisation and the club.
“We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with the North Queensland Cowboys, a club that means so much to this region,” Young said.
“The Cowboys have a special way of bringing communities across the region together, and this partnership gives us the chance to connect with local fans and travelling supporters in meaningful ways, while backing a club that values community, shared experiences, and regional pride just as much as we do at Ingenia Holidays.”
Beyond match days, fans can expect a North Queensland Cowboys Takeover Weekend at an Ingenia Holiday Park later in the season, with players set to run rugby clinics and spend time with guests. Dates and further details will be announced in coming months.
Dean Payne, Chief Commercial & External Affairs Officer for the North Queensland Cowboys, welcomed the collaboration.
“It’s fantastic to team up with Ingenia Holiday Parks. They understand what makes this region so special and share our passion for giving fans experiences they’ll never forget. Together, we’ll be able to bring supporters closer to the action than ever before and give back to the families and communities that make our game so strong,” Payne said.
To mark the partnership, Ingenia Holiday Parks and the Cowboys have launched a colouring-in competition for young supporters. The prize includes four tickets to the Cowboys’ first home game on March 22, transfers to and from the match, and a two-night stay at BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Townsville.

Entrants can download a stencil featuring mascots Miss Moo and Bluey, complete their design and upload it by March 5 to be in the running. Printed colouring sheets will also be available at Cowboys HQ, the Cowboys Leagues Club and at reception in both Townsville and Cairns Coconut parks.
For Ingenia Holiday Parks, the partnership is less about signage and more about shared moments — from junior carnivals to NRL match days — reinforcing its presence in a region where rugby league and community spirit go hand in hand.
