Amora Hotels and Resorts appoints Narej Farik as chief development officer

Mr Farik has more than three decades of global hospitality experience and joined Amora Hotels and Resorts in 2023

Amora Hotels and Resorts has appointed Narej Farik as chief development officer (CDO).

With more than three decades of experience in the global hospitality industry, Narej Farik will lead the company’s development strategy, supporting the continued expansion of the group’s footprint across Australia and Asia.

A highly experienced hotelier, Mr Farik has held senior roles with some of the world’s leading five-star hotel groups, including Marriott International, Oberoi Hotels and Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts.

His extensive background spans sales, marketing, brand expansion and development projects.

Mr Farik has also worked as a consultant on more than 20 hotels and resorts across Asia and Australia, advising on feasibility studies, economic projections and asset optimisation. His expertise includes operator selection, hotel technical services and end-to-end hospitality consultancy.

Previously a regional director, sales and marketing at Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Mr Farik has a strong track record in hospitality-led brand development and strategic marketing, bringing a commercial lens to growth and positioning.

In 2023, Mr Farik joined Amora Hotels and Resorts as group director of business development and asset management, where he has played a key role in advancing the group’s development ambitions.

His experience in the property development sector has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s expansion strategy, including contributing to the acquisition of the iconic Adelaide Hilton and the redevelopment and rebranding of Amora Herencia Riverwalk in Melbourne.
