Adelaide hotel RevPAR hits record August high
The city recorded occupancy of 72.4 percent during August 2026, up 1.8 percent year on year
Adelaide’s hotel industry posted its highest August revenue per available room (RevPAR) on record, according to preliminary data from CoStar.
The city recorded occupancy of 72.4 percent during August 2026, up 1.8 percent year on year, while average daily rate (ADR) increased 5.4 percent to $192.16. RevPAR reached $139.13, representing growth of 7.3 percent compared with August 2025.
Alongside the record RevPAR result, Adelaide recorded its highest August occupancy level since 2019.

Two events helped drive hotel performance during the month.
On Saturday, August 22, London Calling (UK) performed at The Gov as part of its ‘Clash Tribute’ tour, with Adelaide recording monthly highs across all three key hotel performance metrics. Occupancy reached 86.8 percent, ADR climbed to $217.70 and RevPAR reached $189.03.
The Day Hospitals Australia National Conference, held from August 25 to 27, also boosted demand. Occupancy reached 84.3 percent on the conference’s second night, while ADR and RevPAR on the first night were $216.19 and $181.75 respectively.
