Quest marks new chapter for Adelaide’s north
Sod turning marks start of new Quest Apartment Hotel in Elizabeth, raising the bar for accommodation in Adelaide's growing northern corridor
Elizabeth is set to welcome Australasia’s largest apartment hotel brand, with construction officially commencing on Quest Elizabeth, a landmark development that reflects growing confidence in Adelaide’s rapidly expanding northern corridor.
The 87-room property on corner of Main North Road and Prince Charles Street will comprise standalone studios and two-bedroom twin-key apartments and is expected to open in March 2028. It will include three DDA-compliant guest rooms in response to growing demand for accessible accommodation, alongside The Pantry, conference facilities and a gym, supporting both corporate and leisure travellers.

The hotel will also place guests within easy walking distance of Elizabeth Shopping Centre, providing convenient access to a cinema, dining, retail and everyday amenities.
Quest Elizabeth is being developed to support Adelaide’s rapidly growing northern economic corridor, where investment across defence, advanced manufacturing, logistics, education, health and business continues to drive demand for high-quality accommodation.
Its catchment includes major employers and employment precincts such as the Edinburgh Defence Precinct, RAAF Base Edinburgh and Edinburgh Parks, generating accommodation demand from visiting professionals, project teams, contractors, corporate and government travellers, as well as people visiting friends and family.

Developed, built and owned by Emmett, Quest Elizabeth represents a significant investment in the region and another marker of Elizabeth’s continued evolution. Architecture and interior design is being led by Matthews Architects. Quest’s decision to enter the market reflects growing confidence in the area’s future and reinforces Elizabeth’s increasing importance within northern Adelaide’s economic and employment landscape.
The sod turning was attended by David Mansfield, Managing Director of The Ascott Limited Australasia, James Shields, General Manager – Growth and Capital Strategy, Mayor of Playford Glenn Docherty, and representatives from Emmett and Matthews Architects.
Quest Elizabeth is expected to welcome its first guests in March 2028.
