Choice In Market Data Link With STR

STR Global, a leading provider of market data to the world’s hotel industry, and Choice Hotels International, Inc have signed a global agreement providing benchmarking services to all Choice hotels.

Initially, STR Global will work together to roll out the Star program to hotels in the United Kingdom, Australasia, Mexico, Central and South America, Germany and France in 2011.

Choice has more than 495,000 rooms globally with the brands such as Clarion, Quality, Comfort and Sleep Inn, ranging from limited-service to full-service hotels in the economy, midscale and upscale segments.

Choice franchises more than 6000 hotels, representing more than 495,000 rooms and, as of December 31, 2010, more than 600 hotels were under construction, awaiting conversion or approved for development.
