Another Adelaide Approval for Hines

Hines Property’s plans for a $65 million hotel in Adelaide have been approved by the state’s Development Assessment Commission.

Hines will begin building the 17-storey hotel in the second half of 2012 with an anticipated opening in 2014. The hotel will include 300 guest rooms, food and beverage facilities, fitness centre, conference and meeting spaces, guest lounge and business facilities.

Hines’ managing director James Hines said the project is expected to create more than 200 jobs during construction and then 80 permanent positions once the hotel opens.

Hines recently completed the $100 million Crowne Plaza Adelaide hotel, the $50 million 20 Hindmarsh Square apartments complex, the $70 million Conservatory, the $30 million Domain Apartments and the $50 million Mantra on Hindmarsh Square.
