Crowne Plaza Terrigal Opens new Event Venue
Crowne Plaza Terrigal has opened Lord Ashley – a newly refurbished meetings and event space with breathtaking views extending across picturesque Terrigal Beach and the scenic Haven lookout.
One of 13 events spaces at the hotel, Lord Ashley is available for casual meetings and dining experiences and is also perfect for informal celebrations and intimate weddings. Lord Ashley comprises of two décor-rich meeting rooms named The Fireplace and The Lounge and a bar which can be utilised as a pre-function area.
The Fireplace caters to 40 pax banquet-style, 20 pax boardroom-style, 60 pax cocktail-style, or 24 pax U-shape-style, while The Lounge fits 30 pax banquet-style, 18 pax boardroom-style, 40 pax cocktail-style or 18 pax U-shape-style.
The modern venue has also been enhanced by new furnishings and upholstery to add to the lounge-bar feel including plush wool carpet, custom armchairs, marble fireplace, double height doors, hanging lights, controlled roller blinds and a large feature mirror.
The Fireplace is fully serviced with advanced audio visual technology and in-house support by Avestar AV Services. New AV additions to this space include a new projector, screen and surround sound, and an energy-controlled air conditioning system.
The new-look venue was created by Melbourne-based interior designer Andrew Wales, associate principal designer of RotheLowman, who worked to the concept of a character-filled venue offering both space and intimacy, while making use of the abundance of natural light.
Adjacent to the hotel’s Seasalt Restaurant and located on the first floor of Crowne Plaza Terrigal; Lord Ashley is accessible via the hotel’s grand staircase or via the lobby floor elevator.
Crowne Plaza Terrigal also boasts a large ballroom for grand-scale events, weddings and cocktail receptions.
The re-opening of Lord Ashley follows Crowne Plaza Terrigal’s recent $2.9 million upgrade to Florida Beach Bar.
