Expo organisers have new information tool

Digital Alchemy has changed the way exhibition attendees receive vital trade show information with the development of XpressGuide.

This breakthrough in conference communication brings exhibit organisers up to speed with today’s mobile-connected world and provides added convenience for both exhibitors and attendees.

XpressGuide serves as an interactive mobile conference guide or a customised group website. The solution delivers key event details, such as session schedules, information on speakers and sponsors, transportation options and more, directly to attendees’ smartphones or tablets. XpressGuide is also interactive, providing users with scrollable exhibit floor maps, click-and-call phone numbers, live email addresses, links to social media sites, and a direct connection to Digital Alchemy’s mSurvey for gaining valuable feedback.

“The use of smartphones and tablets as a source of information is second nature to conference-goers,” says Don Hay, Digital Alchemy’s CEO. “There is no worse feeling for a show planner than to walk past a trash can and see it filled with expensive printed material. When trade show organizers deliver event specifics to their audience via a mobile platform, it eliminates paper waste and adds a layer of convenience that everyone appreciates.”

Show organisers can increase their profitability with cost savings from a reduced need for print materials as well as revenue generation from built-in advertising opportunities when placing event specifics on mobile devices with XpressGuide. Advertising space on the mobile event sites can be used by the hosting venue or sold to exhibitors as a tool to lower the cost per visitor reached at each event.

By offering XpressGuide as a cloud-based solution, Digital Alchemy does not force venues to install on-site servers or purchase and maintain software. Authorised staff can update the conference guides anytime from anywhere-even on the fly from a meeting planner’s web-enabled mobile phone or tablet. End users will also appreciate that XpressGuide is housed in the cloud since the solution’s use does not require an app download, but is instead displayed in the device’s browser and accessed through QR codes, pre-show emails, signage or the conference website.
