Best Western expansion on track

Best Western’s hotel expansion is on track, with the group set to add three more properties to its portfolio by Christmas.

Rob Anderson, Best Western Australasia chief executive said the hotels will include a spa resort in New South Wales, a boutique style couples’ retreat in Victoria and a serviced apartment complex in Queensland.

“After several years of consolidation focusing on improving the quality and guest experience in our hotels, Best Western Australasia is well on target and is attracting interest from higher quality properties now joining the group,” Mr Anderson said.
Best Western has proven its move into midscale and upscale accommodation markets through its Best Western Plus and Best Western Premier hotel types continues to attract new hotels to the brand.

Mr Anderson said the group is looking to end the 2013 calendar year having welcomed 13 new properties to the group; including five Best Western Plus properties and Australia’s second Best Western Premier upscale hotel in Perth.

“Best Western Plus properties offer extra levels of comfort and style, and Best Western Premier properties give a superior level of service, style and quality for business and leisure travellers. Introducing our three distinct hotel types to Australia in 2012 marked the beginning of our ongoing global expansion strategy, ensuring all travellers can now choose the right hotel type to suit their travel needs,” he said.
