Victory for OC on short stays
The owners corporation of a Melbourne apartment building has successfully enforced a ban on a short-stay operator after a Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal decision.
The owners corporation and managers of the four-level Kings Park building in Southbank followed normal ”notice of breach” procedures. The short stay operator was issued a notice, went to mediation and given a final notice before it went to VCAT for a cease and desist order.
Tisher Liner FC Law solicitor Nicole Wilde said, ”It got to a stage where there were over 150 different people coming in and out of the apartment within a period of six months, which is hugely disturbing for people who live there.”
