Butt out before checking in

The world’s first fully fashion-branded hotel, Palazzo Versace, has announced a new non-smoking policy which will take effect from 1 July. Palazzo Versace has previously offered dedicated smoking guest rooms, however when the new policy is introduced, all guests to the haute hotel will be asked to butt out before they check in.

Australia is in the lowest 30 per cent of countries for smoking habits, with smoking on the decline, and this initiative is a move for the greater health and positive experience of all Palazzo Versace guests.

General manager, Thierry Tollis, attributes this decision to maintaining a healthy and safe environment. He states, “We are committed to providing a fresh, non-smoking environment to ensure the health and wellbeing of all guests and employees.”
