Thredbo confident of a cold snap

Winter may have started yesterday [1 June] but no one told the weather at Thredbo.

But the people of Thredbo are confident that the cold weather will come and a good snow season will result for 2014.

“Obviously we are still waiting for some really cold weather, and the resulting snowfalls to hit us here in Thredbo,” said Ian Foster, general manager of The Lantern Property Group. “We’re still confident that we will get the snow falls Australian snow lovers are seeking.”

Despite the warm start, Mr Foster said that bookings at The Lantern Thredbo Apartments, Lhotsky Apartments and Elevation Apartments are going quite well. which is positive as this year will see the introduction of a number of new features and products in Thredbo.

“And all visitors to Thredbo this season will also be impressed with an increase in the age of kids pricing for lift passes. This means that everyone 17 and under can access children’s rates which will mean great savings for families with teenagers,” Mr Foster continued.
