Achiever awards recognise accommodation industry talent

Winners were announced at the exclusive Club Sofitel, part of Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

Now in its third year, the Accommodation Achiever Awards is a unique program which focuses on recognising the core asset of an accommodation property – its team members, in addition to the quality programs that have been put in place to augment the professional development of employees. Learning and development opportunities are a core component in enhancing the accommodation industry as a whole, and the Accommodation Achiever Awards seeks to recognise and reward the best of what the industry has to offer in this area.

“The Association congratulates all of the winners and highly commended on their achievements. People awards provide an excellent opportunity to motivate and inspire your team, in addition to recognising and rewarding the individuals who embody the hospitable values at the core of the accommodation industry,” commented CEO, Richard Munro.

“The Accommodation Association is keen to promote best practice in terms of quality learning and development programs for employees in the accommodation industry. Professional development and training are key factors in driving service levels and overall industry productivity to its full potential,” commented Mr Munro.

Monica Singh from Novotel Melbourne on Collins took home the People’s Choice Award for her video entry, with 214 ‘likes’ on the Association’s Facebook page.

A number of accommodation industry luminaries were also honoured with HostPlus Aces Awards for outstanding contributions and leadership (Aces stands for attitude, commitment, enthusiasm and service).

The recipients of these awards were:
