Townsville hotel is top wedding venue
The Mercure Townsville is officially one of Queensland’s finest wedding suppliers and venues after being named a finalist at the 16th Queensland Annual Bridal Industry Awards last week.
Recognised for its performance in the ‘hotel reception’ category, Mercure Townsville was one of seven finalists selected from across Queensland – and the only hotel located north of Brisbane and the Gold Coast in South East Queensland to make the prestigious list. The chairman of the ABIA, John O’ Meara congratulated Mercure Townsville on their achievement as a finalist in their category. Mr O’ Meara said that Mercure Townsville should be extremely proud of the achievement considering that each wedding supplier must receive a customer satisfaction of at least 95%.
Mr O’ Meara went on to say that it was business’s like Mercure Townsville which complemented and elevated the wedding industry with their attention to detail and the pride, passion and professional manner in which they delivered their wedding product to the bridal customer.
The Abia’s are a much sought-after award for Australian wedding suppliers as they are determined by the votes of past brides. Each year over 30,000 brides are registered to vote for their most outstanding wedding suppliers. Mercure Townsville were nominated for an ABIA based on the quality of product, quality of service, value for money and the attitude of the staff who serviced the bride’s needs, before, during and after their wedding day.
In an effort to bring more events of all sizes to Townsville – from destination weddings to larger corporate and sporting events – the Mercure Townsville recently signed on as a hotel partner for the new Townsville Enterprise cooperative bid fund launched in July.
