The Sunshine Coast to host information centres conference
Business Events Sunshine Coast has secured the 2015 Queensland Information Centres Association conference.
Announced in Mackay at the 2014 conference by QICA, the event will attract up to 100 tourism industry stakeholders, staff and volunteers from visitor information centres throughout Queensland.
Pippa McCreery, business events manager of BESC said, “successfully bidding for and hosting this important event highlights the ability of our organisation to work with key partners such as Oaks Oasis Resort in Caloundra to secure this conference. Holding the QICA conference in our region presents an unprecedented opportunity to showcase the Sunshine Coast to frontline VIC representatives from around Queensland and educate them on what our destination has to offer.”
The conference will be held at the newly refurbished Oaks Oasis Resort in Caloundra.
The conference will consist of one day touring in the Sunshine Coast region, two day plenary and end with the QICA Annual VIC of the year awards.
