Choice adds five properties to portfolio
Choice Hotels Australasia, Australia’s largest hotel franchisor has once again added to its increasing portfolio of properties across the country by adding five more hotels to the group in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
The five new additions increases the number of properties that have joined the Choice Hotels stable so far this year to 26, significantly expanding all four brands – Econo Lodge, Comfort, Quality, Clarion as well as Choice Hotels’ Ascend Hotel Collection membership network.
Trent Fraser, Choice’s chief executive officer, said he was excited to see Choice Hotels continuing to expand across the nation and build on the successes achieved throughout 2014.
“The addition of five more properties to our swiftly expanding network of accommodation providers is extremely exciting and encouraging news. In Victoria, Choice Hotels has added the elegant Bairnsdale property, The Riversleigh, an Ascend Hotel Collection member. This boutique property is located in the heart of Bairnsdale’s central business district and over-looks the Mitchell River. The Riversleigh offers the warmth of a country hotel combined with the luxury you would expect from a beautifully renovated unique property.
Built in 1886, The Riversleigh features spectacular period fittings and beautifully designed rooms where guests can expect to relive and experience the grandeur of the Victorian era set against the backdrop of picturesque East Gippsland.
Queensland sees the addition of the Econo Lodge Citywalk Rockhampton. Tucked away in the heart of Australia’s beef capital on the doorstep of great cafes, shops and restaurants, all rooms in this well appointed hotel are either new or recently refurbished and offer free Wi-Fi and Foxtel.
Building on the commitment by Choice Hotels to provide great value and reliable properties throughout regional Australia, three regional properties have been added in New South Wales – Econo Lodge Heritage, Wagga Wagga, Comfort Inn Sovereign Gundagai and Comfort Inn Redleaf Blackheath.
