Melburnians win big with adventure activation
Australia’s largest hotel franchisor, Choice Hotels Australasia, brought its Aussie Adventure campaign to life in spectacular fashion last weekend, with a colourful and engaging activation at Melbourne’s Queensbridge Square.
From early afternoon, Melburnians flocked to the Southbank location to soak up the atmosphere and try their hand at packing the typical Aussie boot in the fastest time possible.
The fastest boot packer on the day was Samuel Guthrie, from Fitzroy, clocking an impressive time of 36 seconds! Samuel embraced the challenge with great enthusiasm, stuffing the boot full of road trip paraphernalia in record time, to fend off the many eager participants throughout the day and scoop the prize of seven nights’ accommodation at any Choice Hotel in Australia plus $1000 spending money.
Matt Taylor, Choice Hotels’ marketing manager, said the day was a huge success and a great
opportunity to get out and about to both welcome new customers and reward existing ones.
“It’s always great taking the Choice Hotels brand on the road. This event was fun and exciting and really allowed people to interact with our brand and have the opportunity to win some great prizes. It was hilarious watching how people chose to pack their boot and the chaotic nature in which all of the items from suitcases to flippers were crammed in.
“It ended up being a Saturday afternoon to remember for Samuel Guthrie who clocked a lightning quick time of 36 seconds to take out the major prize. We hope he enjoys his stays at our properties,” said Nr Taylor.
The activation was designed to promote Choice Hotels Australasia’s Tom Williams Aussie Adventures promotion that gives families the chance to win one of ten unforgettable driving adventures throughout Australia, each worth more than $7500.
