Mercure Capricorn Resort Yeppoon announces rebranding
The Mercure Capricorn Resort Yeppoon on the Queensland Coast will be rebranded to Capricorn Resort Yeppoon effective 1 August 2015.
Owners of the resort, Iwasaki Sangyo Group and operators AccorHotels have agreed on the name change, with AccorHotels continuing to manage and operate the resort.
AccorHotels Chief Operating Officer, Simon McGrath, says “AccorHotels has enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship with Capricorn Resort Yeppoon, operating the resort since 2011. We are confident that the Iwasaki Sangyo Group’s commitment to maximising the potential of Capricorn Resort Yeppoon will take the resort to the next level in the future.
“AccorHotels will continue to manage the property and more details regarding the resort’s operations will be provided in due course. The Capricorn Resort Yeppoon is very well known among the local community and with Australian travellers and we look forward to witnessing the growth of the property.”
