A picture is worth a thousand words or $2000
SilverNeedle Hospitality’s Sage Hotel Adelaide has announced its inaugural photo competition which is set to become an annual event conducted by all its Sage Hotel properties around the country.
The theme is “My South Australia” showcasing the state through the lens where entrants can upload their own favourite photo of the Adelaide region; its hills, its coast and the city eclectic vibrancy with cool pop up bars.
Entrants are encouraged to Snap, Upload and hashtag #Sageadelaide via their Instagram account and encourage likes for their phots to put them in the running to win the people’s choice prize of $1000. The simplicity of the competition and entry mechanism fits with the positioning of the hotel The complex made simple and the simple made special.
Two judges’ prizes will be presented with the Over 18’s winner being awarded $2,000 and the Under 18’s in the running for $1000 and their school also scoring $1000. Judges comprise representatives from SilverNeedle Hospitality as well as representatives from media and the tourism industry.
“As Sage Hotels prides itself by being part of the community, the theme My South Australia is befitting especially as the city is undergoing a metamorphosis. We want to celebrate this renewed vibrancy and entice more visitors to discover and visit the new Adelaide.
“Travel and landscape are one of the most posted images on Social Media. Now, they can brag, post and maybe win some cash too with our photo competition” said Sage Hotel Adelaide General Manager Roger Law.
The photo competition concludes 31 January with winners announced 15 February 2016 on Sage Adelaide Facebook page. The winning entries in all three categories will be contacted and need to submit a printable version of their photo to be displayed in the foyer of the Sage Hotel Adelaide at South Terrace.
Prizes and judging categories
• Judges choice – over 18 – $2,000 prize
• Judges choice – under 18 – $1,000 prize and the winners school also awarded $1,000
• People’s choice award – $1,000 prize
