Landmark Sydney airport transaction
Mantra Group has won a competitive tender process to operate the latest on-airport hotel being developed by Sydney Airport Corporation.
Mantra Sydney Airport Hotel is being developed in direct response to Sydney Airport Corporation’s strategic Master Plan and is part of stage one of their Airport Hotel Strategy.
Prominently located at 3 Ross Smith Avenue, walking distance from the T2 and T3 airport terminals, the nine-level building will house 136 hotel rooms (17m² to 22m²), restaurant, bar, gym, lobby, reception, and back of house facilities.
The hotel will be a contemporary iteration of an airport hotel, where compact room sizes are complemented by informal meeting spaces, the merging of public spaces, and a relaxed service culture which successfully responds to the property’s target markets, who will be young at heart, short stay guests, who value modern design, at an affordable price.
Construction is due to commence in April, 2016.
