Mercure Pakenham set for September opening
New hotel to meet area’s accommodation shortfall
Set for a September opening, demand for the new 64-room Mercure Hotel in Victoria’s Pakenham, is setting a strong pace with management “amazed” by the number of online bookings already received.
Located within the Pakenham Race Club Precinct, Mercure Pakenham’s location offers easy access to nearby popular entertainment centre, The Cardinia Club and is only 500m from the Pakenham CBD, Cardinia Cultural Centre and train station.
The Mercure Pakenham’s features include a stylish lounge and cafe area with a new restaurant shortly to be revealed. The hotel also features business services with conference, function and boardroom facilities.

Guests will also enjoy high speed, complimentary wifi and state-of-the-art streaming services.
Mercure Pakenham Managing Director, Dale Bainbridge said the area had been in need of an accommodation facility.
“Pakenham and the Cardinia Shire is a rapidly growing area and this will be a valuable complex to help support this growth with much needed accommodation,” he said.
“We are excited by the growth in the business parks and are confident that our hotel will service that segment with the facilities we offer also.
“We opened our online bookings for the hotel earlier this year and have been amazed by the strong demand so far.”
Mercure Pakenham is the third hotel that Mr Bainbridge has partnered with Accor on in Australia.

Accor Pacific Chief Executive Officer, Sarah Derry said the company was thrilled to partner with Dale Bainbridge, and support him as his hotel network goes from strength to strength.
“Holding appeal for both leisure and business travellers, Mercure Pakenham will provide incredible guest experiences. The hotel has been tailored to suit travellers who value quality accommodation, great dining options and leading design,” she said.
“It’s no wonder the Mercure hotel brand is the largest and fastest growing global midscale brand in Australia. With its genuine warmth and personalised service, the popularity of Mercure Pakenham is assured.”
