A key outcome emanating from a recent Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA) Workforce & Industry Readiness survey highlighted significant levels of anxiety being felt by tourism sector owners, operators and managers as they take on increasingly greater workloads due to workforce shortages and burnout.
With Mental Health Awareness Week taking place at the end of the month, TIA has created a timely four-week campaign called #feelgoodtourism.
Structured to lead into Mental Health Awareness Week which starts on September 26, the campaign is based on three main pillars – Connect with yourself, connect with your people, connect with you place.
The TIA campaign also offers access to an app and a series of training, learning and activity-based resources featured on the mentalhealth.org.nz website.
