Vibe bolsters regional expansion with new BDM
New Gold Coast-based BDM to manage APAC developments
Booking technology solutions provider Vibe has appointed Graham Whyte to the role of Business Development Manager, APAC as the company sets its sights on expansion in Australia, New Zealand and the whole of Asia-Pacific.
Mr Whyte’s previous experience includes a stint at Sabre, where he was Regional Commercial Manager, and senior roles at Travelport and Virtuoso in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
He will be based on the Gold Coast.

Mr Whyte’s appointment follows the recent move to bring former Chief Executive of The Appointment Group (TAG), Steve Barrass into the Interim CEO role at Vibe’s UK headquarters where he has taken responsibility for driving the company’s international growth and strategy.
The activity builds on several local client wins for Vibe including the Royal Automobile Association of South Australia (RAA) where the company is providing the technology behind the organisation’s newly-launched travel agency which provides a range of motor, home, and travel products and services to more than 780,000 members based in South Australia.
Announcing the appointment, Vibe Co-Founder and E-Commerce Director, Martin Eade said Mr Whyte’s vast array of experience in some of travel’s leading companies over the last 30 years, along with his strong network in the region, makes him uniquely qualified to lead the company’s expansion in Australia, New Zealand and the wider APAC region.
Mr Whyte said he was a long-time admirer of the Vibe operation and very keen to explore this opportunity.
“Vibe’s products are Australia and New Zealand ready with one-way faring, Tasman fares, NDC connectivity, access to low-cost-carriers and much more,” he said.
“Since I joined the reaction from the local market has been very positive once businesses learn about the wider Vibe tech offering.”
