Amora Hotels & Resorts expands across Australasia, led by industry veteran Tamer Habib
Currently operating three prime CBD hotels
Amora Hotels & Resorts, a family-owned independent hotel group, is setting the stage for a significant expansion across Australasia. Under the leadership of Tamer Habib, a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry, the group is poised to introduce its luxurious five-star brand to every state capital city in Australia within the next five years.
Currently operating three prime CBD hotels—Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney, Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne, and the newly rebranded Amora Hotel Brisbane—Amora is making bold moves to strengthen its presence in key urban locations. The Brisbane property, which debuted in March 2024 after a comprehensive AUD 25 million refurbishment, exemplifies the company’s commitment to providing exceptional hospitality experiences.

Tamer Habib, Vice President of Operations, who brings a wealth of expertise from his previous roles with Starwood, Rydges, and Stamford Hotels & Resorts said: “Our goal is to establish Amora as the preferred five-star hotel brand in every state capital. With our recent developments and the new talent joining our team, we’re well-positioned to achieve this vision.”
On the culinary front, Amora’s newly appointed Group Executive Chef, Hemant Dadlani, is bringing innovative and inspiring food and beverage concepts to the group. His latest venture, Brooksy Bar at Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney, is quickly becoming a Sydney hotspot with its 1920s-inspired theme and sophisticated menu.
Brooksy Bar, which opened in June 2024, is setting new standards for hotel bars with its experiential concept. Located in a prime CBD spot with direct street access, the bar is attracting both hotel guests and local residents, making it the new “go-to” destination in Sydney’s nightlife scene.
The group’s ongoing expansion efforts reflect its commitment to delivering unparalleled guest experiences in every location.
