Queensland cleans up at the 2024 BIG4 Awards
Thirteen awards were presented in total, each recognising outstanding contributions at both individual and park levels
The Gold Coast recently played host to the BIG4 Holiday Parks Annual Awards, where attendees from across Australia gathered to celebrate remarkable achievements within the iconic holiday park network.
Held at Movie World, the Gala was the crown jewel of a three-day conference, “Delivering Excellence Together: THE BIG4 Way,” marking the brand’s 45th anniversary.
BIG4 Holiday Parks CEO, Sean Jenner, expressed his admiration for the dedication and hard work displayed by the network’s owners, managers, and teams, emphasising the importance of the awards in honouring the exceptional commitment shown across Australia.
“We were thrilled to celebrate our achievements and bring together remarkable teams and individuals from every corner of the country,” Jenner shared. “Recognising their hard work under one roof is something we deeply value.”
Thirteen awards were presented in total, each recognising outstanding contributions at both individual and park levels. Among the winners, BIG4 Caloundra Waterfront stood out, earning four awards in an intensely competitive field, cementing its reputation as a leader in quality and service within the BIG4 family.

One of the night’s most moving moments was the induction of Theo Whitmont, who passed away earlier this year, as the 2024 Life Member. His father, Norton Whitmont, accepted the award on his behalf, celebrating Theo’s legacy and his commitment to nurturing young talent in the industry.
In Theo’s honour, BIG4 introduced the Theo Whitmont BIG4 Future Leader Award, awarded to Lisa Tagidrau from BIG4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park.

As the network approaches its 50-year milestone, the evening reflected on BIG4’s journey, from four parks in Ballarat, Victoria, to a trusted brand with over 260 parks Australia-wide. BIG4’s enduring focus on delivering excellence in guest experiences has become a hallmark of the brand, one it continues to build upon each year.

The BIG4 Annual Awards are not just about honouring individual successes but celebrating the community, heritage, and multi-generational talent that make BIG4 Holiday Parks a cherished part of the Australian travel landscape.
With eyes set firmly on the future, BIG4 is poised to continue its legacy of excellence, creating memorable stays for travellers of all kinds.
