Hotel X Brisbane is redefining summer wellness with a bold initiative—the world’s largest hotel ice bath. Scheduled for Thursday, December 5, the hotel’s rooftop pool will transform into a 15-metre-long ice bath framed by breathtaking 270-degree views of the Brisbane city skyline.

Locals and guests are invited to kick-start their summer morning with this exhilarating wellness event.

The activation, hosted in partnership with Bells Pure Ice, will require four tonnes of ice to chill the rooftop pool, creating a one-of-a-kind experience.

The event runs from 6:30 am to 8:30 am, allowing participants to enjoy a sunrise dip and follow up with refreshments, including pastries from Iris Rooftop, Tea Tonic beverages, and Allpress coffee.

Wellness with a cause

Ice baths are renowned for their health benefits, such as reducing muscle inflammation, boosting immunity, and enhancing mental health. This event, however, goes beyond personal wellness by raising funds for LIVIN, a mental health organisation dedicated to breaking the stigma around mental illness.

LIVIN Founder Casey Lyons expressed gratitude for the collaboration, stating, “Hotel X’s support helps fund vital mental health education programs in schools. This activation not only highlights the physical benefits of ice baths but also fosters community connections to improve overall well-being.”

Rooftop oasis in the heart of Brisbane

Located in Fortitude Valley, Hotel X’s rooftop pool and the adjacent Iris Rooftop Bar and Restaurant are known as hotspots for Brisbane locals and travellers. Owned by the Ghanem Group, the Spanish-inspired venue offers spectacular views, delectable cuisine, and an electric atmosphere, making it the perfect location for this unique summer event.
