The Sunshine Coast is preparing to shine once again with the return of its flagship showcase, the Sunshine Soiree. Hosted by Visit Sunshine Coast, this exclusive luncheon will take place on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club.
This year boasts a unique race day theme and the vibrant event promises to deliver an exceptional experience for interstate event professionals seeking fresh ideas and an inspiring destination.
Recognised as the Sunshine Coast’s signature business events networking opportunity, the Sunshine Soiree is more than just a stylish affair – it is a high-impact platform designed to inform, connect and convert decision-makers into advocates for the region.
The event has earned a reputation for excellence, blending sophisticated hospitality with genuine commercial outcomes. Guests will enjoy a fast paced and fun environment where they can meet face-to-face with the Sunshine Coast’s leading venues, accommodation providers, and experience operators.
Attendees are treated to a long lunch featuring premium regional cuisine, curated cocktails, bubbles, entertainment and surprises throughout the day. Highlights include prize giveaways such as a Daycation on Makepeace Island, Whale Watching with Sunreef, plus fashions on the field and exclusive networking opportunities with the region’s top suppliers.
This year’s Sunshine Soiree will be hosted by celebrated media personality Maritza Barone, a respected TV presenter, podcaster and founder of the Guide Your Light Network. With over two decades in media, Maritza’s charisma and insight will bring the day’s agenda to life.
“The Sunshine Soiree is more than a beautiful event. It’s a powerful business tool that connects high-value buyers with our suppliers and operators,” said Ali Thompson, Head of Business Events at Visit Sunshine Coast.
“Business events deliver significant economic value to the Sunshine Coast. They drive visitation in off-peak periods, support local jobs and help future-proof our tourism economy.
The Sunshine Coast continues to grow in reputation as a destination of choice for meetings, conferences and incentive programs. With its natural beauty, boutique offering and expanding infrastructure, the region offers a compelling ‘bleisure-style’ alternative to capital city congestion.
