Berrima Bakehouse Motel celebrates back-to-back awards success

Berrima Bakehouse Motel has been recognised for a second consecutive year at the Accommodation Australia NSW Awards for Excellence, taking home the 2026 award for Best Budget Style Accommodation.

The accolade follows the Southern Highlands property’s Motel of the Year win at the 2025 awards.

Manager Natalie Block said the back-to-back recognition was an incredible honour for the entire team.

“We are especially proud to have been recognised in such a competitive category, alongside outstanding accommodation providers from across NSW, including metropolitan Sydney properties,” Ms Block said.

“To be acknowledged as a regional property amongst such a strong field is a wonderful reflection of the standards, passion and dedication of our team.”

Ms Block said the motel’s approach was founded on the belief that affordable accommodation should not require guests to compromise on quality.

Ms Block credited the award to the dedication of the motel’s staff, the loyalty of its guests and the ongoing support of owner Chris Lowry.

“Having an owner who backs us and gives us the confidence and freedom to run the business has been an important part of what we have achieved,” she said.

Ms Block said the award reflected broader trends across the regional accommodation sector.

“We are proud that this award also highlights the strength of regional accommodation in NSW,” she said.
