Panache picks up Mantra 100 Exhibition as national expansion accelerates
Panache Hotel Group has added Mantra 100 Exhibition to its Melbourne portfolio, marking its second major capital-city signing in two months and accelerating the group’s national expansion across Australia.
Hot on the heels of announcing its first Sydney hotel, Panache Hotel Group has continued its national growth trajectory with the addition of Mantra 100 Exhibition to its expanding Melbourne portfolio.
From December 8, Panache formally assumed management of the centrally located apartment hotel at the sought-after Paris end of Exhibition Street. The signing marks the group’s second major capital-city addition in just two months, following its November appointment at The Sebel Sydney Chatswood, and highlights its rapidly building national momentum.

The Melbourne appointment strengthens Panache’s Victorian footprint, with Mantra 100 Exhibition joining Peppers Docklands Melbourne and Melbourne City Suites within the group’s growing CBD and inner-city portfolio.
Mantra 100 Exhibition offers spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments with separate living areas, fully equipped kitchens and sweeping city views. Its prime location places guests within easy reach of Melbourne’s retail, dining and cultural precincts, as well as major event venues including the MCG and Rod Laver Arena.

The signing also deepens Panache’s strategic partnership with Accor, which now spans four properties across three states. The relationship includes Peppers Docklands Melbourne, Mantra on Hay Perth, The Sebel Sydney Chatswood and now Mantra 100 Exhibition. Guests will continue to enjoy the Mantra brand experience and can access Accor’s ALL lifestyle loyalty programme.
Panache Hotel Group Chief Executive Officer Wilson Bao said the addition reflects the group’s disciplined and accelerating national growth.
“Panache is in a strong growth phase, and Mantra 100 Exhibition is another marker of the momentum we are generating across the country. Our partnership with Accor continues to deepen in meaningful ways, now spanning Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. When a global brand and an agile operator combine their strengths, you unlock even greater performance,” Bao said.
Vice President, Strategy and Development, Thomas John (TJ), said the property aligned closely with the group’s operational strengths.
“Mantra 100 Exhibition is a well-located, high-potential asset, and we are excited to bring PHG’s commercial focus and operational discipline to help take it to its full potential. We specialise in elevating established properties with strong fundamentals, sharpening positioning, refining operations and building on performance,” he said.
The appointment also highlights Panache’s specialist capability in apartment-style and strata-titled assets, where the group has built a strong track record in asset repositioning and performance uplift.
Panache’s national expansion is underpinned by its proprietary “lanchise” model, a hybrid of leasing and franchising that delivers income certainty for owners while providing brands with a nimble, performance-led operator. Alongside traditional hotel management agreements, the model allows the group to partner with both global and independent brands across diverse asset types.
With the addition of Mantra 100 Exhibition, Panache continues to progress toward its ambition to double its portfolio by late 2026, supported by a strong pipeline of opportunities in both metropolitan and regional markets across Australia and New Zealand.
