$5.1 million glow-up for The Sebel Melbourne Flinders Lane

The Sebel Melbourne Flinders Lane has completed a $5.1 million refurbishment, delivering a refreshed look and feel across the boutique inner-city property.

The upgrade has seen all 60 suites transformed with a lighter, contemporary colour palette, featuring beige and tan tones in living areas and dynamic charcoal and grey in the bathrooms.

Each suite has been fitted with new furniture, soft furnishings, lighting and décor, alongside upgraded bathroom fittings and fixtures. The overall design direction follows a contemporary urban chic theme.

Public spaces throughout the hotel have also been revitalised, with new carpet, artworks and paintwork introduced in guest corridors.

The property forms part of Accor Vacation Club, one of the region’s leading vacation ownership clubs with close to 30,000 members and a portfolio of 24 resorts located throughout Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. While it caters to members, the hotel also remains available to the general public.

Accor Vacation Club Chief Executive Officer Craig Wood said the refurbishment reflected the group’s ongoing investment in its portfolio.

“We continually upgrade and refresh our properties as part of our commitment to providing exceptional experiences for our more than 30,000 members. The Sebel Melbourne Flinders Lane has always been a much-loved property, and with this multimillion-dollar refurbishment, we are confident it will remain a standout choice for members who want to be based in the very heart of Melbourne,” Wood said.

In line with its sustainability objectives, the hotel donated its high-quality pre-loved furniture to local charities, ensuring valuable items were reused within the community rather than going to landfill.
