Sofitel unveil new, French-designed uniform collection
The collection, called Le Vestiaire, offers 45 uniform pieces for Sofitel staff to choose from, rolling out late 2026.
Sofitel have unveiled their new uniforms created in collaboration with French designer Cordelia de Castellane, which offer their staff a range of 45 individual pieces to choose from.
The collection, called Le Vestiaire, will roll out worldwide from the end of 2026 for Sofitel’s 25,000 staff. The mix-and-match selection was inspired by the spirit of Paris, and designed with inclusivity, as well as the wide range of cultures and climates that Sofitel serves, in mind.

The collection will be worn by staff, known as Heartists, from front of house to housekeeping, and is designed as a capsule wardrobe, guided by comfort and personal preferences. Pieces include dresses, jackets, vests and shirts, as well as details such as belts and cravats, with most featuring hand-drawn prints and monograms.

Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems, said “We are entering a moment when Sofitel has fully regained its pride, at a time when so many of our hotels are being beautifully renovated – such as Sofitel New York, Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, and many more – and when new Sofitel properties are opening around the world as true flagships of the brand.

“It was essential to me that our teams – the very essence of luxury – could also benefit from this new era of beauty. It felt only natural that they should shine more than ever. I am delighted by this collaboration with Cordelia de Castellane, who has perfectly captured the spirit of a refined, timeless wardrobe, celebrating French elegance and luxury.”
The project was a substantial undertaking for designer Cordelia de Castellane, who wanted to design a collection that could be used globally and be of style and service to the people using it. The process involved workshops and fittings to ensure the vestiaire’s versatility.
“For this project, I didn’t want to create uniforms, I wanted to design a vestiaire. The idea is simple: pick and choose a look that fits the right place and the right position. Most importantly, I knew I didn’t want to lock people into a specific uniform. Sofitel is a great French brand that has set out on an adventure and has truly established a legacy.
“Fashion is never neutral. It influences our mood every day. I wanted these pieces to feel positive and reassuring, clothes that support people emotionally as much as visually, and that reflect the warmth and elegance of Sofitel’s hospitality,” Ms de Castellane said.
