Mayor Brown’s opening address will highlight the importance of tourism, events and accommodation to Auckland’s economy, particularly as the city continues to see strong growth in domestic and international visitation.

Event organiser Adrian Caruso said the Mayor’s involvement reinforces the importance of the sector to the region.

“Tourism and accommodation are critical to Auckland’s economic vitality,” Mr Caruso said.

“We’re honoured to have Mayor Wayne Brown officially open the conference and acknowledge the role our industry plays in driving jobs, investment and city activation.”

The 2026 program features more than 30 speakers from across hotels, holiday parks, technology, aviation, tourism bodies and major events with sessions covering revenue strategy, AI and digital marketing, corporate travel, demand mix, operations, and the future of distribution.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to visit the newly opened New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) as part of the conference program. The venue, which officially opened in February, features Ariki Hall with capacity for 4500 guests, as well as 33 meeting rooms.
