Emporium Hotel

When Brisbane’s Emporium Hotel opened its doors in June 2007 not only did it introduce the first true luxury boutique property to Brisbane, it introduced a new standard in exquisite design, opulence and guest technology.

Featuring 102 studio suites, all custom designed and individually finished with marble kitchenette, in-suite laundry and most importantly, state-of-the-art in-suite entertainment and technology including 106cm plasma TV, high end appliances, wireless Internet, movie-on-demand pay per view and Bose entertainment systems.

Audio visual specialists Video Pro was employed to design and install a complete audio visual solution for the property.

Video Pro hospitality account manager, Matt Clarke said, “As the basis for guest entertainment, each suite features a 106cm plasma television and the Bose entertainment system allows guests to bring their own personal taste to the hotel where they can play back their own choice of music through the auxiliary sound system.

“In the conference and events areas, Videopro’s audio-visual solution comes to the fore. In each of the three conference rooms, projectors display on a 254cm screen that can be hidden from view when not in use by conference presenters. Furthermore, the system can be controlled at the fingertips of Emporium Hotel staff with AMX touch screen panels installed throughout the conference area. This flexible technology is essential for a venue which can be as versatile as holding an industry trade meeting in the morning and a 150-guest wedding at night. In the boardrooms, 170cm plasma televisions facilitate greater communication in combination with surround sound systems, multiple PC capabilities and AMX touch screen panels.”
