Capstone Hotel Management opens grand new hotel complex
Just last week, Parkside Hotel & Apartments opened its doors to guests, offering them a home away from home, a guaranteed a warm welcome and a comfortable stay in Tāmaki Makaurau – Auckland city.
Centrally located on Grey’s Avenue and overlooking splendid park surroundings, the Parkside Hotel & Apartments Auckland (formerly known as Amora Hotel Auckland) is ideally positioned in the centre of the CBD. With the added advantage of easy motorway access and on-site secure undercover parking and walking distance to the major shopping and entertainment areas of the heart of Auckland city.
New Zealand owned Capstone Hotels & Resorts, trading as Capstone Hotel Management, has been appointed as the Management Company for this property. Capstone managing director Clare Davies said that the management takeover took place in August and the hotel opened on 8 October with general manager Desmond Moraes leading the new team.
Parkside Hotel & Apartments will initially operate 50 units within the hotel pool along with the conferencing facility which can accommodate up to 120 delegates across 3 flexible spaces.
Davies says that “Capstone is delighted to be involved with the rebrand and launch of a well-established corporate hotel in Auckland’s CBD. Our opening team come with strong hotel backgrounds and Desmond Moraes will ensure that the property grows its reputation for a high-quality guest experience”.
Moraes’ extensive background includes a variety of roles, most recently general manager at Marlborough Vintners Hotel and prior to that worked for Scenic Hotels, Rendevous, Peppers and Holiday Inn.
