WA gov campaign supports Perth accoms

The Australian Hotels Association (AHA) WA today helped launch the million dollar new “Stay, Play and Save” campaign, providing Perth hotels with a much-needed boost.

AHA(WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the $200 subsidies being made available on mid-week bookings of over $400 will provide a significant incentive for Western Australians to stay in Perth accommodation hotels.

He said: “The AHA, as the peak body for WA’s hotel and accommodation industry, has worked closely with the WA Government and Tourism WA to design this tailored campaign to entice Western Australians to stay at one of 80 Perth hotels.

“Accommodation hotels in Perth continue to bear the brunt of the damage caused by COVID-19.”

“With international borders closed and interstate travel options remaining precarious, resources that would have otherwise been spent on marketing WA have been repurposed to this campaign.”

“The promotion incentivises mid-week bookings, with guests required to stay for a minimum of two nights, between Sunday and Thursday inclusive.”

“Bookings can be made from Friday 29 January until Friday 19 February, with travel available throughout February, March and April.”

“I strongly encourage Western Australians to take advantage of the unprecedented deals they can secure by visiting https://www.experienceperth.com/stayplaysave on Friday, when the campaign’s packages go on sale.”

“We applaud the WA Government for remaining focused on those segments of WA’s accommodation and hospitality industry that require additional and ongoing support – such campaigns are helping to keep businesses viable and safeguard jobs.”
