Underground career opportunity beckons
As Outback NSW readies itself for a post-lockdown surge of freedom-seeking visitors, the far west’s biggest tourism operator, Out of the Ordinary Outback has launched a search for new hospitality and management staff to help cope with the anticipated boom.
One of the new jobs on offer includes the chance to be an assistant manager at the famous White Cliffs Underground Motel, Australia’s largest underground accommodation, set in the remote opal mining town of White Cliffs.
Out of the Ordinary Outback owns seven properties in far west NSW.
These include Broken Hill Outback Resort, the Argent Motel and The Tourist Lodge in Broken Hill, the Copper City Motel/Hotel in Cobar, the billabong-side cabins at Warrawong on the Darling at Wilcannia, the remote Ivanhoe Hotel Motel and the White Cliffs Underground Motel.
Other roles on offer include an operations manager and groups and events manager, a relief management couple and various hospitality all-rounders roles for general receptions, bar and restaurant work.
