Crystalbrook Collection, Australia’s premier independent five-star sustainable hospitality chain, is poised to make its mark in the burgeoning Adelaide market with the announcement of a $130 million flagship hotel project.

The esteemed Adelaide-based Samaras Group has entrusted Crystalbrook Collection to manage this prestigious venture, heralding an exciting expansion into South Australia for the renowned hospitality group.

Named Crystalbrook Sam, the hotel is slated to open its doors in 2026, offering a fresh and unparalleled standard of upscale hospitality in South Australia’s rapidly growing visitor economy.

Ghassan Aboud, Founder and Chairman of the Ghassan Aboud Group and owner of Crystalbrook Collection, expressed enthusiasm for the venture, stating, “Crystalbrook Sam is our eighth hotel in the Australian market, enhancing our distinctive collection of properties. We are delighted to expand our footprint into South Australia, delivering a new style of luxury, innovation and sustainably-led hospitality to the state.”

Geoff York, CEO of Crystalbrook Collection, highlighted the strategic significance of this move, stating, “Our expansion into Adelaide aligns with our strategy to establish sustainably-led 5-star hotels in key markets across Australia. Adelaide offers a vibrant tourism landscape, boasting world-class culinary experiences, unparalleled natural beauty, and a thriving cultural scene.

Crystalbrook Sam, nestled at 15 Halifax Street in the heart of the Adelaide CBD, will be a 13-level sanctuary boasting over 200 meticulously designed guest rooms, a lobby adorned with communal spaces, and a rooftop Eleme Spa and Bath House offering panoramic city views.

Additionally, guests can indulge their palates at the hotel’s restaurant and bar, while various meeting spaces and a Wellness Centre cater to both business and leisure travellers.
