Pan Pacific Perth unveils new era of luxury with multi-million dollar makeover
The upgrade includes all 488 guest rooms and suites, the hotel lobby, the exclusive Pan Pacific Club Lounge, and the city’s largest collection of meeting and event spaces.
Pan Pacific Perth has officially reopened its doors after a major multi-million dollar transformation, unveiling a sophisticated new look that blends elegant design, local charm, and sustainability.
The upgrade includes all 488 guest rooms and suites, the hotel lobby, the exclusive Pan Pacific Club Lounge, and the city’s largest collection of meeting and event spaces.

Designed by the acclaimed FDAT Architects, the refurbishment draws inspiration from Western Australia’s natural landscapes and integrates Pan Pacific’s Asian heritage. The result is a striking combination of modern luxury and timeless design, with refined interiors, sustainable materials, and thoughtful details that celebrate the hotel’s local setting.
General Manager Rens Breur said: “This refurbishment is more than a revitalisation of our guest rooms and event spaces; it’s a meaningful evolution that reflects our core values and underscores our continued investment in Perth’s vibrant hospitality landscape.
“For so many, Pan Pacific Perth has been the backdrop to life’s milestone moments. With this transformation, we’re elevating that legacy – enhancing our offering to deliver exceptional experiences.”

Located in the heart of Perth’s cultural district and overlooking the riverfront, the property’s refreshed interiors include standout sustainability features.
Decorative panels made from repurposed denim, hand-pressed natural herbs, and 100% recycled ocean plastic furniture showcase the brand’s strong eco credentials.
This transformation follows Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s recent recognition as the first hospitality brand in Oceania to achieve Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Multi-site certification for all six of its Australian properties.
The hotel’s upgraded events and conference offering features over 2500sqm of flexible space, including two grand ballrooms and numerous breakout areas. Equipped with modern AV technology and managed by expert event planners, these spaces cater to everything from large-scale corporate events to weddings and gala dinners.

Culinary excellence is also at the forefront of the hotel’s relaunch, with UMA restaurant introducing its bold new menu, “Journey Through The Amazon.” Helmed by Executive Chef Xerxes Bodhanwala, the South American-inspired offering takes diners on a culinary voyage through Peru, Brazil, Chile, and beyond. UMA’s earthy interior design and river-facing views further elevate the dining experience.
The transformation at Pan Pacific Perth follows similar refurbishments at PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport and PARKROYAL Parramatta, reflecting Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s wider investment in asset enhancement as it expands its presence in luxury accommodation and MICE markets.

With this latest unveiling, Pan Pacific Perth reaffirms its position as a premium destination for discerning travellers and event planners alike—where design, sustainability, and service meet in the heart of WA’s capital.
