Rambla expands to 172 rooms as hybrid short-stay model gains traction
Rambla’s current short-stay, apart-hotel rooms portfolio spans Brisbane locations including Woolloongabba, Fortitude Valley, Bowen Hills and Kangaroo Point, along with Brunswick in Melbourne.
Pellicano’s short-stay brand Rambla has reached a key growth milestone, expanding to 172 apart-hotel rooms across five locations, with a further 100 rooms under construction as demand rises for more flexible, design-led accommodation.
Launched three years ago as an extension of Pellicano’s build-to-rent platform, Rambla was designed to meet growing demand for stays that combine the comfort of home with the consistency and service of a professionally managed property.

Since its launch, the brand has welcomed more than 57,000 guests, attracting a mix of business travellers, extended-stay visitors and remote workers seeking an alternative to traditional hotels and peer-to-peer rental platforms. The model centres on fully furnished, fully serviced apartments, offering a more consistent experience than short-term rental platforms, where quality and management can vary.

Rambla’s current portfolio spans Brisbane locations including Woolloongabba, Fortitude Valley, Bowen Hills and Kangaroo Point, along with Brunswick in Melbourne. Each property is positioned in well-connected urban precincts, with design tailored to reflect the surrounding neighbourhood while maintaining a consistent standard across the brand.

Guests have access to hotel-style facilities such as pools, gyms, wellness spaces and communal areas, including co-working zones, supported by a streamlined service model.
A key feature of the offering is Neuewell, a wellness-focused amenity framework integrated across the portfolio. The concept incorporates shared pools, saunas, cabanas and fitness studios, aiming to appeal to travellers seeking balance, wellbeing and a sense of community during their stay.
Pellicano Managing Director Nando Pellicano said the brand was created to fill a need.
“Rambla was created to meet a clear gap in the market, accommodation that feels like home but is professionally run,” he said.
“The strong uptake and repeat visitation we have seen over the past three years reflects a shift in how people want to live, work and travel.”
Repeat visitation has been a strong driver of growth, with guests returning for the consistency, amenity and comfort offered across the portfolio.
Travel agent and repeat guest Amy Morrison said Rambla has become a reliable option for corporate clients and longer-term stays.
“I’ve consistently found Rambla delivers exactly what it promises, the comfort of home with the reliability of a professionally managed property,” she said.
“From the seamless digital check-in system to the design and functionality of the spaces, Rambla removes the friction often associated with short-term accommodation.”
She added that the wellness and communal spaces were a key differentiator.
“The wellness facilities and rooftop spaces elevate the experience beyond traditional short-stay. They create a sense of lifestyle and community while still offering spaces for quiet work, which travellers really value.”
With a further 100 rooms under construction at Oxford House in South Brisbane, Rambla is continuing to scale its hybrid model, positioning itself between traditional hotels, residential rentals and short-term platforms.
