Casablanca Beachfront Apartments

Up until 12 years ago, Lindsay and Kerry Petty had no idea about management rights.

Originally from New Zealand, the hardworking Kiwis spent a majority of their careers working in banking, insurance, housing sales, design and other general management roles.

Today however, Lindsay and Kerry have shunned their corporate pasts and, after a few years working in the industry, are living it up in their own slice of heaven, which is Casablanca Beachfront Apartments on Kings Beach.

After migrating to Australia in the mid 90s for the climate and plethora of opportunities, Lindsay and Kerry got their first taste of the accommodation industry through working at the Portobello apartments on the Gold Coast. After a short stint there, they then moved up the coast to become the first managers at the Caribbean in Mooloolaba.

Lindsay said, “After working for someone else we really wanted to find out about owning our own management rights and that was when we came across Casablanca Beachfront Apartments.”

It has been more than three years now since the Pettys made their move and purchased Casablanca and, according to Lindsay, it was definitely the right one. “The location of Casablanca is fantastic. Kings Beach is a real family area. We’re right on the beach, it’s nice and quiet and we have a young daughter so it all suits us perfectly.”

Since becoming a permanent Sunshine Coast resident, Lindsay has shown his dedication to the area through participating as a member on the QRAMA committee for the past year and a half. Demonstrating his passion for the management rights industry, Lindsay also works as a Sunshine Coast sales agent with Property Pacific.

“I saw the job advertised in the paper and it stirred my interest so I spoke to the principal, Bob Love and we just took it from there. I love it. It’s great getting out and about and meeting people is something I really enjoy.”

Offering 24 fully self-contained two- and three-bedroom apartments, Casablanca Beachfront Apartments is perfectly suited to cater for all sized holidaymakers.

Spread out over the three floors, each apartment features a kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, crockery, glassware and utensils, laundry with washing machine and dryer, spacious lounge/dining area, dual bathrooms, north facing balconies with outdoor furniture, supplied linen, cable television, wi-fi and DVD players.

Within the complex, facilities include barbeque area, heated pool and half-sized tennis court.

However, just across the road, is three well equipped children’s adventure playgrounds and large open public area with large water fountains.

Since purchasing the management rights to Casablanca Beachfront Apartments, Lindsay said he and Kerry have spent much time perfecting their systems and the building to ensure it is easier to run but more importantly, a wonderful place for their guest to come and stay and stay and stay.

“We have introduced a lot of new things, upgraded website, signage, marketing and online bookings. Basically, we’ve brought a lot of things within the building up to standard and made sure the maintenance is up to date so it is nice and easy to run and relaxing to stay in.”
