Sandpiper Apartments

Garry and Gail Lowe have just celebrated their sixth year anniversary at Sandpiper Apartments. Originally from Melbourne, the Lowe’s purchased the property in 2004 after Gail ran her own smaller property for a year before hand.

Garry said, “I was still working full time in the transport industry when we bought Gail’s property. Then I was posted to QLD for work and Gail couldn’t handle doing nothing so we started looking into another property. We had some friends who had one and we obviously knew about the industry and so I retired from my job after 34 years and we bought Sandpiper Apartments.”

Garry said they chose Sandpiper Apartments because of its size and location.

“We needed something big enough to keep both of us occupied but it was the property’s location that really sold it for us.”

In the six years the Lowes have been at Sandpiper Apartments, they have spent a lot of money around the property.

“The pool has been upgraded, all the gardens redone, a majority of the apartments have been renovated and the building exterior repainted. In the years to come we will continue doing ongoing upgrades.”

The 12 storey complex offers a choice of one- or two-bedroom fully self-contained apartments, each one featuring a full kitchen with a microwave oven, wall oven, hot plates, double sink, dishwasher (two bedroom units only), toaster, crockery, cutlery and lots of cupboard storage space. They also have a washing machine and dryer, spacious lounge room with lounge suite, colour TV and free cable television, direct dial phone, intercom and wireless broadband access. The bedrooms have a variety of configurations from the large queen size beds down to two single beds and every apartment faces the ocean and includes a private balcony with spectacular ocean views.

In the complex, facilities include a natural gas heated swimming pool and hot spa, BBQs and subtropical gardens.
