Hunter Valley resort upgrade

Grand Mercure, The Vintage, Accor Vacation Club Apartments in NSW’s iconic Hunter Valley, could be likened to a great bottle of red wine – getting better and better with the years.

All 31 apartments (15 one bedroom, 16 two bedroom) have recently undergone a complete redesign under Accor Vacation Club’s Wine Country Resort Series, which not only uses locally inspired elements, but also implements modern day environmental initiatives, suited to that precise climate.

The Wine Country Resort Series draws on inspiration from the natural surrounds, with wall coverings and tiles in a rich sophisticated palette, and with finishes creating warmth for the cooler wine country region.

The addition of ethanol fireplaces in the one-bedroom apartments ensures that the ambience is of luxurious warmth and reflects the two bedroom apartments that have gas fireplaces. Complimenting the regions nearby cellar doors, wine fridges are incorporated into the design of the larger two bedroom apartments.

Environmental initiatives have also been implemented with LED lighting and water saving fixtures. In addition to this connectivity is being provided with media hub units linked to the digital televisions.

The apartments are ideally located in the resort around a central pool, and native gardens, adjacent to the Greg Norman designed 18-hole golf course.
